Still trying to complete the installation.....
When the install program tries to create a new database, it times out. This is the error :
--------------------------------------------------------------------
Warning: mysql_connect(): Lost connection to MySQL server during query in D:/project/geeklog-1.3.8-1sr3/system/databases/mysql.class.php on line 108
Fatal error: Maximum execution time of 30 seconds exceeded in D:/project/geeklog-1.3.8-1sr3/system/databases/mysql.class.php on line 108
--------------------------------------------------------------------
This is curious, as the db is on my Windows desktop, there are no other programs running apart from Outlook, there is no else using the database, for anything. I'm a little confused.
I've searched the documentation and the forums on this web, for anything related to query timeout, but came up empty. So, I guess I must have done something wrong to spark this problem.....
Googling also didn't provide much help. Can someone give me some pointers on what I should look for ?
Thanks in advance for your time. Your help is much appreciated.

I kind of lucked into the solution.
Changed the hostname in config.php from localhost to actual hostname, and removed the port no. So, I don't know which one of those two changes did the trick. My suspicion is with the first one, but I could be wrong too....
Thanks for all the help....
