Hi all,
I am currently looking at various forum software products to integrate into my Geeklog installation, and of course my first choice atm is Geeklog's own forum plugin. I heard that it is based on phpBB, which had a couple of security updates and patches in the last weeks and months. The current version of the forum plugin is dated as of June 2004 though.
What about updates and fixes for the forum plugin? Is it still maintained? And how does it differ from phpBB?

No it isn't. It's a completely unrelated development.

What makes you think it isn't? The last update is only a few weeks old ...
www.portalparts.com is the plugin's homepage.
bye, Dirk

As I said, I remembered that someone posted it was based on phpBB (or borrowed large parts of code from it). And phpBB had several security issues since June. I had to manually update a friend's customized phpBB from 2.0.8 to 2.0.9 and 2.0.10 ...
