I was wondering how I would go about changing the text in the E-Mail Geeklog automatically sends new users.

The simplest way would be to edit the text in the language file (english.php or whatever language you are using).

I also wrote a hack some time ago if you want to change the text on a more regular basis (the code may need some adjustment for Geeklog 1.3.6).
