it says this can any one help me tell me wat to do bit by bit since ive read the install manule and sorted the paths out can anyone help Fatal error: Failed opening required '/path/to/geeklog/system/databases/mysql.class.php' (include_path='') in /home/rabidtur/system/lib-database.php on line 105 ive tryed ever thing i could think of PLEASE i like geeklog thats why ive tryed so much from WhiteDragon

Look in your config.php file. Find the line in the Server Settings section that starts with $_CONF['path']. Tell us what that whole line says.---Kevin

Nope, that is not right. That is the way the file comes, but you need to customize that line to fit your installation. You need to replace the /path/to/geeklog/ with the correct path to the place where config.php is. Are you installing Geeklog on you own computer, or is it being installed on a remote server somewhere? If it is your own computer, are you running Windows, Linux, or Mac OS X? Which directory did you install the config.php file in? Provide the full path name, listing every directory from the top (i.e. the C: drive for windows, or the root for Linux). If you are using Linux, or a remote server, and you can't figure out the path, go to the same directory that config.php is in, and type pwd at the command line to get the path to the present working directory.---Kevin

Its on a friends server so all i can do is add and delete things its on a Ftp. so if u can tell me wat to do it would really help WhiteDragon

Well, I don't have much experience using ftp, so I'm not sure what to suggest. I'm not aware of any way to make ftp tell you the info you need to sort this problem out. I suggest you contact your friend, and ask him to tell you the complete path for the config.php file. Once you have that, you can put the info in that line in the config.php file. Read the relevant part of the documentation carefully - you put the whole path in, except the actual name of the config.php file. For example, if the path is /home/whitedragon/config.php, you would just put it /home/whitedragon/ Good luck,---Kevin
