Is there a limit on the number of lines/amount of data that can be held in a static page - it looks like I have 69094 characters or so and 2400 lines? Alex www.kerin.us EDIT: I am also using htmlarea, so it\'s possible that has a limit.

The content is stored in a Text data type, which has a max size of 65535.

Juz the thread I need .. is there ANY way to UP the limit ??????

You could modify the table and make it a mediumtext or largetext. Don\'t know if there would be any problems, but I\'m guessing not. Give it a try and let me know. Don\'t forget that you made the change during upgrade time.

You will probably run into the limit imposed by mysql, max_allowed_packet which is default to 65536 bytes.

Is there anyway to over come this ????????

Change the data type in the table and change the mysql config parameter.

In mysql you would modify the my.cnf file with this setting set-variable = max_allowed_packet=1M. You can use phpmyadmin and modify the table staticpage and change the column sp_content to a mediumtext.

Where's the my.cnf file? Not sure how to access mysql on godaddy. When I click mysql, it opens myphpadmin.

I used phpmyadmin and modified the table staticpage and changed the column sp_content to a longtext? Will I see an error once I reach the new max or will it cause a bigger issue?
