Problem:

Links in story get scrambled by highlight after search.
The searched word gets changed in a highlight within a link in the found story, so the link becomes invalid.

Example:

http://www.gnpplus.net/cms/article.php?story=communication&query=Toronto

(See: second link)

Use Geeklog-version: 1.3.11-sr2

Interesting. I made a copy of that story to test it locally - and it works just fine for me, ie. no wrong highlighting.

Not sure what's going on here ...

bye, Dirk

Most likely a theme issue. Search the files in your theme's directory for class="highlight" and see if any of the lines with it are mangled ( extra characters or missing tags, etc ) and also look at the scripts that find words to highlight.

Banging your head Have to make the description of the problem a bit more specific.

The problem exists only as the story:... expansion system is used.

If you try the link

http://www.gnpplus.net/cms/article.php?story=communication&query=Toronto

you will notice the first link is scrambled, the second (just typed in) link is correct.

Text Formatted Code

<ol>
<li>[ story:International_AIDS_Conference_Toronto ]
<li><a href="http://www.gnpplus.net/cms/article.php/International_AIDS_Conference_Toronto">International AIDS Conference Toronto</a>
</ol>

(Spaces added to prevent expanding on this board).

Thanks, that was the missing piece of information.

That's a bug. The problem is that the highlighting is done before the story: autotag is replaced with the proper link. Can't think of an easy fix right now, so please submit a bug report so it's not forgotten.

bye, Dirk
