hi,

Following the upgrade instructions all goes fine but when I try to open link then i get the message telling me there is an error. Here is a piece of error.log:

I have recent backups, so experimenting is not an issue

That's an odd one. It seems to be confusing the "limits" and "topic" columns from the gl_syndication table.

Can you check what you have for those columns in your (updated) database? The '::all' should be in the 'topic' column, but it's using it for the limit here.

Not sure how that could have happened. Double-check that you've updated all of Geeklog's files. Specifically, for this case, system/lib-syndication.php.

ok, I checked that but It is ok.

The problem seemed to be that I copied lib-common.php instead of modifying the new version. Now I do not see any sql errors. Instead i see it cannot find some templates:

Template Error: filename: file /var/www/layout/Yahoo/archivestorytext.thtml does not exist.
Halted.

i check that and indeed the file does not exist. I am checking in my backup catalog and I do not have such a file either for 1.3.9, so this must be a new file from 1.4.

So I changed the theme to professional (only theme available in this release out of the box, so it seems) and now all is cool.

There were quite a few theme changes since 1.3.9 ...
