use pngs instead of gifs in geeklog distribution

Would be nice to use pngs instead of gifs for geeklog images. Why?http://www.gnu.org/philosophy/gif.html
They\'re also a little smaller. I gained 200 bytes on an icon :) (plugins.gif)
