Announcements NOTE: this is a release candidate and therefore you are not recommended to install this version of Geeklog on a production site!

Folks, it's been a long time since I've felt this good about a Geeklog release. Mind you, it is a release candidate but it is, in my opinion, on one of the most powerful release that address a lot of old bugs, installation problems AND adds a lot of new features! Why is this a release candidate? Simple reason is because so much code has changed. However, unlike previous Geeklog releases, people have been helping with testing and with bug squashing.

The impatient can get the tarball here and for those wanting more information about this release hit 'read more'. First let me thanks a number of people. These people (referred to by their IRC names) have helped in tremendously with this release:

  • dhaun
  • dr3am
  • genghis
  • knuckles
  • MattyJ
  • MLimburg
  • toad

What can you expect from the final 1.3.5 release? Well, we are giving Geeklog a major facelift! Two new themes will be added including a default theme done by MattyJ of geeksta.com! Also, are you tired of dollar signs not printing? Well we are trying to do handle this securely (remember dollar sign is dangerous in PHP). Outside that we will not do anything else to this code base minus some bug fixing. You can expec the stable release next week!

Now, for the changes in this version. Instead of trying to past a massive (and somewhat incomplete) list of changes just go to CVS and look yourself!
