Problem with browsing geeklog

I recently posted an article about not being able to properly view my site from inside my firewall.

I believe the problem to be that I can not reach the actual dns name from inside the firewall. So I have to use the IP for the machine, this causes the web page to not bring up any of the graphics.

I guess I need to know if anyone else is running geeklog behind a firewall, if so how are you administering the box from inside the firewall.
