Hello Dirk,

If one creates a story, there are fields for "automatic article management", one could set deletion or archivation date for the story.

I expected to be able to set a date there and after that date this story is no longer "active" but can only accessed by the Directory.

Of course I expected a simple way to archive maybe "all stories older than 30 days" via the administration interface.

If this is not the purpose of that I really would know what these "automatic management"-fields are for.

You seem to be confusing two separate features here: The archiving option will move a story to a designated archive topic (see the topic options) at the specified date. That feature was introduced back in 1.3.10 and has nothing at all to do with the article directory ...
