staticpage as frontpage block problem

The staticpage as frontpage \"feature\" doesn\'t recornize the layout directive for leftblocks only.

If I display the staticpage by itself, it shows with only the leftblocks.

If I use the new staticpage as frontpage \"feature\" I get both left and right blocks.
