Im a new user to geeklog and very much a newbie to php. I would like to find out whether i could put up a admin contact block at the front page, how?

You don't have to do any PHP code to make a contack block. Just create a new "normal" block with the appropriate HTML, give it a low Block Order number, and make sure it is enabled. Cheers, Jens
