What did you try? What operating system are you on?
WinRar on Windows should do it.

The downloaded filename is geeklog-1.3.8.tar.gz.tar. I removed the ending .tar from the filename and was able to successfully extract all of the files.

Not for me, it\'s geeklog-1.3.8.tar.gz as it should be. Which browser are you using?

Probably on windows using Moz. Happens to me all the time. There is probably a setting, just haven\'t looked.
