Not sure where this fits, so put it here.
You can easily use
JpGraph[*1] to add charts etc to your static pages (but not stories and forum posts unless you allow images which is a security liability - as someone could use that to call a php function etc. ).

I agree Euan, jpgraph is a very capable componet. I've used it to generate Gantt Charts for a Project Mgmt Plugin that was developed for a client. Really just tapped it's potential and the Pro version has more features.
The OpenSource dotProject application also uses jpgraph to generate it's gantt charts.

I pulled this a little further as you can see
