Is this a new tactic from the spammers? I have the GUS plugin and on one of my sites I have several thousand referer links, everything from adult sites to viagra to who knows what. They can't enter comment spam now they're doing referrer spam. I may have to turn off GUS to keep it off.
Any ideas?

New? Where have you been all these years?

At least make it visible to logged-in users only. Having that thing up there for everyone to see only attracts more of the same ...

Referrer spam is only a problem when you post your stats on the web, since that's what they're after.
Does the GUS plugin at least add rel="nofollow" to those links?
The other problem with referrer spam is increased traffic and load, which can have an impact if you get a lot of it.

Nope, but it does now. I didn't expect people to make this kind of thing visible to anonymous viewers...
ronack - you can turn off referrers by setting $_GUS_CONF['wo_refs'] = false in your GUS config.php. Or, if you only want to limit the number which show up, you can adjust it with $_GUS_CONF['wo_max_referrers'].
