Hi!
I've followed Euan's Multi-language solution and got it to work.
But one thing keeps failing. When someone hasn't selected a topic, he gets all the stories and not just just those in his/her language.
This is because Euan didn't hack /public_html/index.php, but simply replaced it with his own code. So naturally it stopped working once Geeklog was upgraded.
I ask here because it looks like Euan is dead. He doesn't reply to his e-mail or private messages (here).
Until he resurrects, please help.
P.S.
Dirk, please consider making the multi-language solution official!

In both pages the latest requests (other than this one) are from 2003.

Yes, project.geeklog.net is the correct place for feature requests (and bug reports). And the latest feature request there is less than a week old ...
bye, Dirk

Oh, I see. The new project page is sorted by IDs and not by dates. That's why I thought the latest feature requests were from 2003 (plus it has no search engine...).
So feel free to delete my request from the old requests page. And why don't you just stop accepting requests in the old page?

The damned thing won't let me I could close down the tracker entirely, but then the remaining feature requests wouldn't be visible.
Anyone volunteering to port over the 45(!) remaining feature requests?
bye, Dirk

LWC,
I just tried out your code for index.php on GL 1.4.0b1. Only the default language shows stories. When I switch to other languages, it gives me the "No stories to display" message, unless I choose a topic.
So if the cookie language is other than the default language. The site will show no stories initially, untill the user click on a topic.
Also, if the non-default language use click on Home. It will also show no stories.
Am I missing something? Or are you having the same issue?
Sam

This topic is outdated. Do you know how much stuff I've added and changed since starting it?
I've posted an official patch with my own hack.
And I don't know where else to keep it, so I've just opened a new topic just for my own hack. I would always keep it updated there from now on.
