the story is ... i had some problems till i found out that geeklog doesn't have the 'autolink' feature ... and that if i want to publish a link on geeklog i have to use pure html formatting like

than i managed to set up a link

and then today i have out a bunch of html formated text into a window ... and all the bolds and the lists worked yust fine ... but the link ... geeklog clears all formatting from the a tag. i'm totally confused ... where is the catch ... can someone help me? plizzz gape

Could you point me to an example where you're having such problems? I've never had any issue using a standard a href tag within either Geeklog articles or blocks (in the format <a href="http://www.a.site">Click here</a>.

When submitting a story to your site I noticed that the allowable html tags have "<a href="http://">text</a>" listed in place of "<a>" - this is the cause of the problem, you need to change this back and links within an HTML submission should work correctly. If you open config.php in your Geeklog root the allowable HTML line would look like this by default: $_CONF['allowablehtml'] = '<p>,<b>,<i>,<a>,<em>,<br>,<tt>,<hr>,<li>,<ol>,<div>,<ul>'; If you correct the <a href="http://">text</a> bit to be just <a> then this should work correctly for you.
