It would be nice if users could request new stories be emailed automatically. I noticed a comment in the body of the function says that usersettings.php needs to be modified ... ? Thank you again! I assume you're referring to some old and unused code in usersettings.php. What you want is already implemented, but in a slightly different way. Read this story for the details.
