It's still not quite ready for release, but you can see a functioning version of the Geekary at Beacon of Light Studios

Comments on the layouts or any bugs you run across are appreciated. Just leave them in the comment section of the Featured story.

There are some changes I am making already on the display of SWF's. See if you can guess what they are Smile

Suggestion... on the thumbnails page, in the descripions you may want to place a row that tells the user what type of file (gif, png, sfw, jpg, mpg, etc...) is so that they know before loading Otherwise, looks good Wink -----John http://www.slapd.net http://john.hoke.org

Possible for you to add image rating function?

Also, user comments on each image would be nice.

I like the album hierarchy established by Gallery. Any way you could emulate that?

Comments and ratings are already built-in. You should see the comments bar below the Geekage. Ratings will only appear as a choice if the user is logged in. I don't allow anonymous ratings. One user, one vote.

Also, I've never used Gallery, so if you could point me to an example I'll take a look. IS it that it has subalbums? Because I didn't see a reason for doing that. You can already make as many Geekegories as you want.

Just as a note: The Filemgmt Plugin will allow anonymous votes but only 1 per IP - compares IP, if user is not known. Blaine

I thought of that. I made a design decision not to allow anonymous voting. If its a requested feature I can certainly modify it. That's why I wrote the rating functions separate from the others.

Must have missed those... :-)

I think Geekary is an excellent implementation of an image gallery. One suggestion I forgot to mention... Some of the table borders are showing. Looks ugly (at least to me). Zero 'em out or format better with CSS.

Now if only someone were to come up with a PayPal-integrated and GeekLog native shopping cart plugin. Hint - hint!

A working Gallery 1.3.1 integration can be found on Alan's, Squatty's, or my site.

You can also find the source at Gallery's.
