Just wondering, we now have a "from scratch" forums system. Any one willing to plot over some shopping cart program/ website system?

I too would love to see a cart like OScommerce implemented. It is the best FREE cart i have EVER seen. http://www.oscommerce.com/
A means to have people pay a small microfee to join or place an ad would be most excellent.

I am working on trying to use the CMS Bridge to link OS commerce to Geeklog, but just getting started......and maybe wont ever finish. BUT, I beleive this is the best option as the only thing lacking in a site that incorporates Geeklog AND OSCommerce is the fact that users have to log in twice to use it. Bridging the user data between the two would solve this and alleviate alot of needless re-coding of two already excellent apps. Anybody already working on this? Email me at lsalsich@cox.net -Luke

I agree with THAT. X-Cart is a GREAT package! The only downside to it is that it's not OpenSource, or free. BUT, it's only $150 or so, which in the world of Ecom is PRACTICALLY free.

We love X-Cart and would like to work toward its intergration...the main problem is it uses the Smarty template engine....i would image there would be a major overhaul of the geeklog code...or at least all the existing themes...---We never stop looking... ...for a better way
