With the help of Max Ivaniy I've managed to create two new Gallery blocks. You can see both blocks on my site.

Gallery Top 10 Albums - displays the top 10 visited (clicked) albums in your photo gallery

Gallery Last Updated - displays a listing of recently updated albums in your photo gallery

A few notes on the blocks….

The blocks do NOT account for private albums. Thus, ALL albums in your Gallery are fair game. The blocks ONLY update for anonymous users. There is an issue with the block caching where the save() adds the “Edit” link (and associated java script) to the cache file. This results in a cache file that can not be properly parsed at display time.

I'm looking into a fix for both of the above. Not sure when I'll get to though?

You may want to add to the README file that the user needs to modify the Geeklog Path in the lib-custom addition. Otherwise, geeklog won't work at all! Just a suggestion.
