I am running 1.3.7sr1 and wanted to upgrade to 1.3.8sr1 The upgrade instructions suggest renaming my current geeklog install to run the upgrade. Won't I lose all of my plugins and blocks? I have not modified any of the GL basecode but I have added blocks and plugins..

You can copy the files for the plugins (and your lib-custom.php) over after you've uploaded the new files.

Actually, this is simply the best way to ensure that you don't forget to replace some files (and have a backup in case something goes wrong). A mixture of old and new files may cause all sorts of hard to find problems.
