Has this problem been solved? GL seems to do wrong word counts if HTML is included in a story.

Geeklog strips HTML before doing the word count (and has always done so, IIRC). What it doesn't seem to take into account are multiple spaces. I.e. having two spaces between words will be counted as an extra word (from a quick glance at the code and from a similar problem we just had with the search results highlighting). Somebody please file a bug report ...
