I just installed 1.3.7sr2. When trying to add a new link as Admin, I consistently get the following message:

1064: You have an error in your SQL syntax. Check the manual that corresponds to your MySQL server version for the right syntax to use near '' at line 1

Any suggestions? Thanks.

Why? That version is old and insecure.


Please quote the complete error message from Geeklog's error.log.

Lazy; in a hurry; my host provides a simple script for installing that version. I wasn't sure I wanted to do a remote install of a later version....

Easy to see why MySQL didn't care for the query. As I said, I was logged on as Admin.
