Is anyone else experiencing any noticable degradation of performace after the latest upgrade?

My website homepage used to load in .34 seconds. That was an hour ago, before I did the upgrade from 1.3.8 to 1.3.9.

Now front page load time has increased to 2.1 seconds. Entire site is running sluggish and responds poorly.

Do you have the vstats plugin installed? I have found that that plugin slows the site way down. Others must have experienced it too, but I haven't had the time to look it up here.

If you have it installed, disable it and everything gos to normal.
