I finally got around to trying the backup button. Nice. It creates a tidy little sql file for me that can save my bacon if I go psychotic one night and blow away some part of the site. Or can it?
It occurs to me that sql is only half the problem. I've spent just as much time installing modules, changing directory permissions and all that crud to get stuff running. Seems to me that I'd like to have some security against hard drive crashes and stuff like that too.
Is there a reason (other than time/enthusiasm ;-) why the backup button couldn't also zip up the geeklog file hierarchy as well as creating the .sql file?
