I've been waiting for something like this to develop. Just a quick thought... since the forum plugin extendes the users profile, in the development of this plugin include some type of function that disables/copies all forum profile info to the glprofiles plugin. Keep in mind also that the forum displays a users MSN, ICQ, yim, etc at the bottom of posts...
