Well, the Featured Article displays black on black for me (using Mozilla) - a bit hard to read

Nice and clean. The header seeams to be a little too big. Which Jacksonville? Since the featured story looks like it is the site intorduction, you could make it a static page and put it on the main page only using the centerblock top of page option
