Any chance of making 2.0 HTML Standards Compliant?

That is the goal. Note the professional theme released with 1.3.10 along with a few other themes out there are all HTML/CSS standards complient (barring non-complient story/comments/etc).

I'd even go a step further and recommend that the default GL2 theme be Section 508 compliant and adhere to other basic web accessiblity standards.
