I tried looking for a place to donate to this project, much as I have for Gallery, BitTorrent and other great pieces of software. I couldn't find a place to donate to help keep Geeklog alive. Any suggestions on how I can contribute a few bucks?

Thanks. Donated $10 today. It might not be a bad idea to put a donation link on the main geeklog.net page.

There you go. Buy yourself a couple beer on me Dirk.

I donated to most of the devs before and will again, usually when I upgrade or install one of their plugins. Once even when a paticularly troublesome questions was answered too.

Everyone should donate to the devs, regularly.

Thank you

I tend to think that it looks odd when you're giving something away for free on the one hand, but then pretty much urge everyone to pay something nonetheless by sticking a big "Donate" button on the front page ...

I prefer a more subtle approach

Dirk, you are a nice man. But you should let people know that you do accept contribution more explicity.

Speaking for myself, I ended up sending contributions to whom asking explicity, thinking that those who don't ask must be rich and doing this entirely for fun. Who knows?

Please accept my little Red Envelop for the Chinese New Year!

I agree with putting link on front page. Or even make a donate block that is default to geeklog and is installed with tarball. Just change email address to change block.
GeekLog Hosting, Installations and Upgrades - WWW.AWEHOST.COM - Hosting starts @ only $4.95/mo.

As I said, I don't want to have it on the front page. But I like the idea of the default block - have to think about that ...
