How can I fix this problem? The links all go to fourex, penile enhancement or gambling type sites. I am fairly sure they are being added by one person. I delete them every few days and when I look again they are back. I would like to know if they are submitting these links one at a time.
Thank you in advance for any help. my site is at iantiquesguide.com
I'm sorry to say that this person is simply a predator out to make money with those links and does not care even about children. My sites were also hit and although I did have SpamX, it ate up a great deal of time dealing with this issue. I for sure had to completely cut off comments on the school site and as for my own personal sites, the same "for the most part".
I found the best thing is to set comments to only registered users of your site. This will curb the problem but you still may have to deal with it time and time again. There is always eternity for this person!
Recently, the Washington Post or some BIG organization with all of the webmasters you'd ever want had to turn off their comment section. This is a big problem on the internet. I think legislation is being introduced to deal with this issue as well. It's a billion dollar business this type of information....

Since I have been afraid of such things I never turned on comments but I`d like to. So thanks for your reports.
I wonder if there is a way to see how these links were added? Drupal for example records everything that is being done in one log file. I wonder how useful or difficult it would be to produce such a log file for geeklog. Could the GUS stats help?
If it was robots adding the links then one should again think about Capchas. Is there any time limit for adding links as it is with comments?
