Hey,
Just updated to 1.4.0sr2 looks like some good work by the dev team.
I was wondering if anyone knew if the old Ban Plugin would work with that version. I get hammered with referer spam until it chokes MySQL without it. I had to resort to password protecting the site temporarily to get the spambots to leave me alone. If Ban isn't available I'll have to go back to 1.3.11

Whatever you do, never, ever use a plugin or block that displays referrers. It is pure evil in a can and will attract thousands of daily hits from spambots. Evil, EVIL I TELL YOU....

I also noticed some referrer spam from 70.85.116.229 and made my GUS "Who`s online" only visible for admins.

The original post, made in March, still hasn't been answered. Does the ban plugin for 1.38 work upwardly, specifically with GL 1.4x?

Yes, the Ban plugin v1.0 works with GL 1.4.
