My wife pointed out a problem with my GL site. I don't know how long it's been like this, but if anyone's seen it before I'd appreciate some help.

If I try to click onto any story link, all I get is an 'Access Denied' message. I can post a comment, but if I try to read a cooment, I get the same 'Access denied' message.

Any ideas? I'm mystified. Thanks.

This isn't something that Geeklog would return. Do you have something in your .htaccess?

I got this message from my hosting company:

The error, which you encountered, might have been caused by the suspension of the article.php module that was running on your site. For security reasons, we were forced to disable acces to the /(path-to)/article.php on May 9.

Hackers exploited vulnerability in your site's component to upload malicious files to your account. To secure your account and our server, we had no other option but to deactivate the exploited PHP module.


I got the latest update and I'm going to update my installation today. Will this be enough to bringmy site back? Thanks.
