I just completed two new GL installs and both seem to be experiencing the exact same behavior...can't login as default admin, can't post comments, and can’t do anything? The pages paint fine but, any action (click) results in abnormal behavior.
Some examples:
1) On the "Welcome to Geeklog" featured article, clicking the "post comment" link puts me back at index.php.
2) The "New User" link takes me to the "Try Logging in Again" page. I can't sign-up as a new user or login as a default admin.
I know this is NOT typical so, there must be something wacky with my installs? Both machines are built identical:
OS:
RedHat 7.2
GL:
Geeklog 1.3.5sr2
APACHE - 1.3.26:
./configure --enable-module=so
PHP - 4.2.1:
./configure --with-mysql --with-apxs=/path/to/apache/bin/apxs --enable-track-vars --enable-magic-quotes
I've built PHP/APACHE using DSO and have some firewall wackiness going on behind the scene but, neither of these should result in the behavior I'm seeing. Are there any specific PHP/Apache requirements for GL that I may have configured incorrectly? My gut feel is that cookies are playing havoc?
I guess what I’m looking for is any specific configurations that might cause things to break...other than a fat finger by yours truly ;-)
