Welcome Block

In the default theme of geeklog, there is a Welcome Block, where it displays a welcome message with user's fullname with date and time as well. On my site, the default theme is Smooth Blue. I was wondering if there was a Welcome block I could add to it, or do I have to write the code for it? Any help is appreciated.

I assume you're referring to the welcome message, "Welcome to Geeklog Site, cdriscoll"? Those (the welcome message and the date and time) are two variables, {welcome_msg} and {datetime}, that you can simply add anywhere in your header.thtml file. You only need to find a good place where to put them (which is probably why Mark left them out of the Smooth Blue theme in the first place ...). bye, Dirk

Thanks..I did try to just add that in, and it made the homepage look all funky. I will suggest a different theme. Thanks a bunch!
