I installed the Visitors Stats Plugin.
I found 2 problems with it:
1- The icon did not appeared on selected stat pages. I changed the path in the first line of "table.thtml" and it now works fine.
2 - When I go to the Visitor Stats main page it always show "Statistics Capture is off". I click on "Turn Capture On" and it then shows that Capture is on.
But when I go back to the Main Page it still shows that Capture is OFF !
I checked the table in the database and "capture" is set to 1 while the main stat page shows "OFF" .
What's wrong
Thanks,
Alain

Are you by chance running this on a windows system?
How did you change the path in table.thtml so that it would work?
I have heard before about the capture display being weird but have never been able to duplicate it. The strange thing is that the same code snippet controls the capture and the and display.
Both issues relate to display, perhaps I have not got the templates right for windows yet. I am only shooting in the dark. I do not have a windows machine and no one with the problems has volunteered to help.

I did some checking around and there appear to be two slightly different versions of the function.inc from the stats plugin around. Download the seperate version of functions.inc from my site and see if that fixes the capture display problem.
The other one I am still puzzling over.

Not on windows but a linux server.
In table.thtml I changed the first line to:
<a href="{ref_url}"><img src="{site_url}/gl/ph/stats/images/stats.gif" border="0"></a>
I added gl/ph after {site_url}
gl is my geeklog dir and
ph is my public_html dir

I translated the language file to french (canadian). Would you like to get. If so, how do I send it to you?

Yes I would like it and I am sure others would also. If you could post it here and/or send it to me by email at gl@pigstye.net. That address will work until it gets full of spam and then I will disable it. Its great having your own server and throw away email addresses.

Sorry for the rather terse reply yesterday -- I had been dealing with dumb windows users all day. "What do you mean open Windows Explorer? My computer does not have Windows Explorer!"
Anyway looking back over the code I did find an unitialized template variable. Since your geeklog install was not quite standard it showed up. I have fixed this problem in the version that is on my site now. For you it will not make any difference, since you fixed it. Thanks for pointing that out.
