I have found out that the User Name now allows space in between. Is it normal? Thanks, Sam

Hmm, I'm not sure if that was ever tested for (yes, I know that when you create a new user as an Admin, it says "do not use spaces". It doesn't seem to do any harm. Internally, Geeklog uses the user id for almost anything user-related anyway ... bye, Dirk

Which file do I open to add the line "Do not use space" so that it will show in the signup form? Sam

hello folks!

we would like to use Bylines for our articles, but would like to hack the User Name link to use the Full Name as the text. in other words, i have a user:

User Name: imsexy
Full Name: Im Sexy

we'd like the text link for the "Contributed By" to use the Full Name rather than the User Name.

any help would be greatly appreciated!!

That's simple: Change the story template files so that they use {contributedby_fullname} instead of {contributedby_user}.
