I'm sorry if this has been posted but I am incredibly confused. I can't get past this. Excuse my ignorance please.

I am trying to install GL for the first time, but I can not figure out what this means. I know these sorts of errors have been discussed, but the advise given didn't help my problem.

Sounds to me like: A - the files in question don't exist - double-check all the paths defined in the config and lib-common B - Permissions - make sure that the web server user (www?) has read access to all the geeklog files. A few specialty files also require write permission, but I forget which - my GL install is pretty hacked up

This is definitely a path problem. Look in config.php and make sure all your paths are correct. Specifically: /geeklog/system/databases/mysql.class.php should probably point to: /users/ionichost.com/cubedude/geeklog/system/database/mysql.class.php My first guess is you need to change your $_CONF['path']. Read the README file or the installation instructions linked to on this site. (Resources -> Documentation -> How to install Geeklog) -Vinny
