Geeklog Forums

I recently installed geeklog and gallery. I've seen the instructions for integrating the two, but I really wanted to be able to easily insert gallery images into my stories (with links to larger images on the gallery pages).

I've modified my geeklog so all I need to do now is insert code in articles and comments that looks like this:

   [gallery/album-name/image-name.thumb.jpg]

Instructions are available on my personal geeklog.

This hack should also work (with only small changes if any) if you have a different way of organizing your images.

I only made a couple of minor modifications to lib-common.php; most of the code is in lib-custom.php. I couldn't think of any reasonable way to accomplish this without modifying some of the core code. Will future versions of geeklog have some hooks for custom filtering of block output?

Check out the link above, and you can follow the thread on his site. We worked on getting the file names displayed below the images, and on opening up a new browser window to browse the gallery.
