Some of my users have started blocking mime-headers in order to prevent spam.
Is it possible to turn-off the headers with 'Content-type' in the GL email? Are there specific mail messages which do require the header?

Maybe someone made a 'patch' to allow the user to select html-mail / text-mail / no-mime ?

Cheers,
remy

Sounds like a silly idea to me ...

The content-type is an essential part of an email header as it declares the charater set to be used in the email.

You were talking about MIME headers above. Geeklog itself sends plain text messages without any MIME header in them (the only exception being the Admin's Mail utility where you can chose to send HTML formatted mails).

I guess your problem is really with the Forum post notifications, because they include a (pseudo) MIME header. That shouldn't be too hard to track down in the forum sources ...

But, again, I really think this is a silly idea. As much as I dislike HTML emails (and most of the spam these days is HTML), MIME is a perfectly valid thing to use in emails. I guess these people don't like to receive attachments either (and not all attachments I get are worms and viruses Mr. Green

Oh well, to each his own ...

bye, Dirk
