text in center of home page only

I want to put some text explaining what my GL site is about. I want it to appear near the top of the home page only. How do I do this?

You need Geoshell 1.3.8.x (with staticpages plugin 1.3)
Create a static page
scroll down
under the input field, you'll see
Text Formatted Code
Centerblock: [x]  When checked, this Static Page will be displayed as a center block on the index page. 
Position: [Top of Page]  Topic: [Homepage only]  



 


If you set it up that way you will have a static page shown as centerblock at the top of your index page Wink

BTW: you could create information pages for every topic that way. Just change the "Topic" setting
