Hello everyone,

I have just installed Geeklog to my site(Under Construction still), I also used the Yahoo theme. When I started with Geeklog, I used the Smooth_Blue theme, and found that the geeklog logo was at the top (Header). But with Yahoo, I have no Geeklog Logo in my header.

Is it then possible to add a picture or banner to the top of the Yahoo theme,if so, can you please tell me how.

Thank you all in advance

The .thtml files are just plain HTML. So if you know some HTML you can of course simply add an <img> tag wherever you want ...

bye, Dirk

Thanks Dirk,

Not an expert html person so will probably add the as you said.

The quuestion is if I put the image, would all the links that are at the top of the Yahoo theme vanish or would they stay on top of the image?

I am actually trying to put a banner at the top, this was easy for me when I tried the smooth_blue theme because it has a Geeklog Logo preinstalled and all I had to do was change that to my banner, but with the Yahoo theme, there is no logo, and I am afraid that I might mess the header up.

Please help

Thanks

It just depends on how you write you HTML. You can put a banner above the links if you want. Just make sure that the banner in the HTML file is before where all of the links are defined.

Just play with the banner placement until you are happy, and if you can't figure it out, post the relevant HTML code here and I'll see what I can do.

Hell again,

I have as you suggested copied the top part of the header file below, I have also thought that the space just before the site URL is where the banner is supposed to go (so I have inserted a couple of spaces there) Please correct me if I am wrong. My problem is that I do not know html. I just need to put a banner at the top of my Yahoo theme. The banner is a collection of familty pictures that shows at the top of the site and goes accross the top.

{plg_headercode}

{site_name}

{button_contribute}

{button_links}

{button_calendar}

{button_advsearch}

Thank you.
