I looked in config and couldn't find anything about changing the (0) numbers from showing up.

ive got the theme background thing understood but not fixed yet. i have little time to work on the site. i'm adding in a lot of great stuff though. i lost the entire site due to nuke eating itself and my sql. so i decided to switch to something else hence gl. check out the site download some free techno, hit on some chicks, eh what else is life about Wink

Sorry, you lost me there ...

You say you don't want the numbers - fine. Set both variables to 0 and they're gone, simple as that.

Now where is the problem?

bye, Dirk

$_CONF['showstorycount'] = 0;
$_CONF['showsubmissioncount'] = 0;

works for me, and haven't heard of any problems with those settings.

You could always remove the {option_count} variable from the topicoption.thtml and topicoption_off.thtml template files in the unlikely event that the above doesn't help.

bye, Dirk

ahh i see what happened. it only gets rid of the top menu numbers. the numbers for my installed plugins in the top menu such as journal are still there though. also the numbers are still showing in the admin block. how do i do that for my admin panel as well?

I don't think that this is a verry clever idea, since it could give you some interesting hints, like e.g about postings/files/members wich has to be moderated.

And nobody exept you (the Root user) will see them, so why bother?

just because it looks cluttered. i check my site like every 15 minutes anyway so if there is something there i'll see it anyway. i don't need those numbers there. if disabling let's say the static pages number (9). i don't want it to disable static pages all together. so is something like this possible and if so what does it involve/how to do it.
