htmlarea problems

Hello,

I followed the installations instructions very accuratley and still have not been able to view nothing but errors.

When I check the errors on the page, it points me to this line: editor_generate('introtext',config);

introtext is the default name of the text box, so I do not see why this error is coming up.

1. I do have the script at the beginning of my header.thtml (_editor_url = "/var/www/html/htmlarea/"Wink
2. I do have the 2nd script in the storytext.thtml file.

Anyone have anything I can possibly look at to figure this out? I can see htmlarea running on other sites, so I know its not a browser issue. Thanks.

I do not believe the htmlarea link is a system link but a URL instead. Try entering your URL instead and know you can only view HtmlArea within IE.

Good luck!

Thanks for the reply. But, I am still not getting anything. I'm sure I'm missing something very minor. I read somewhere your theme has to support it? Does that just mean you need the script in your header.thtml?

Anymore suggestions? Thanks again.

I found the problem. Wrong permissions were on the htmlarea folder for some reason. I knew it was something minor.
