Just a quick message to those with a gallery integration. Not only does gallery (as of 1.4.4) fully integrate with the geeklog authentication/user setup (including wrapping the gallery in geeklog), Gallery Remote, the program that allows easy uploading of multiple pictures, now also integrates with geeklog.

Previously you either could not use remote, or use a hack that I had put together. Not any more. Many thanks to those who have made this happen.

For those that have not tried Gallery, and want photos in your site, now is an excellent time to try it out.

Does gallery integration allow specific users, or just an admin/notadmin distinction?

I had gallery before geeklog and definitely miss gallery remote, in fact I have been unintegrating, doing changes with remote, then re-integrating anyways!

This is huge, I love that tool!

have you added the bit of code to httpd.conf

Text Formatted Code
Alias /gallery "/your/path/gallery"
<Directory "/your/path/gallery">
    AllowOverride Options FileInfo
    Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all
</Directory>
#
<Directory "/your/path/gallery/albums">
  Options Indexes FollowSymLinks
    Order allow,deny
    Allow from all
</Directory>

and are ALL the paths correct in gallery's config.php file

I change the chmod in netpbm -is now set to 755.

Regarding the bit of code to httpd.conf there is no file in the map httpd.conf !!! (directory: /etc/httpd/conf )

Here is some print screen of my setup and error messages Click here

If gallery remote works now, then that would make me think that galleryadd.pl should work as well. Unfortunately, no matter which user I use (either a geeklog admin user or the gallery admin user), it still thinks I don't have rights to add to the album:

Text Formatted Code
$ galleryadd -l http://www.discobug.com/gallery -u xxx -p yyy -a test ./test.jpg
Logging In
Logged In successfully
Fetching list of albums (may be slow)
Fetched list of albums.
Found album 'test'
Uploading image './test.jpg'
Could not upload image './test.jpg':  Unknown error 200       #__GR2PROTO__
debug_album=2001
debug_gallery_version=1.4.4-pl2
debug_user=EVERYBODY
debug_user_type=everybodyuser
debug_user_already_logged_in=
status=401
status_text=User cannot add to album.

You can see that even though login was successful, it thinks I'm an everybodyuser...

I noticed in Uffe's screenshot that gallery remote now has a "Geeklog Login URL" field. Does anybody know how to use the same thing from the command line, using galleryadd.pl?
