Hi All,

I want a to create several pages that you can only access via one single root page. If I were to have all these pages in the navigation it would start to get far too large, besides they're only subpages.

I appreciate GL doesn't support subcategories but that's not quite what I'm after:

Imagine there's a menu item 'archive' - you click that and it takes you to a static page with links to various parts of the archive. These archive pages must be dynamic (not static) therefore have to be in topics. I just don't want these specific archive topics to be in the navigation.

Is there a way this can be achived?

Instead of using the template to produce the Menu for you in your header.thtml, remove it and add hard coded links to the various items you want.

Ah ha! I guess that's the 'hit it with a hammer' approach to GL

If no one else can offer an easier maintainence solution then I'll have to go with that one. I would prefer to be able to set up the site, and the administrators and then wash my hands of it. That way I would have to be the one called upon to add extra sections to the site

Cheers for your time, Remdotc Any other ideas anyone?

You could always use glMenu and let the client admin the menu (add/remove) menu's and submenus as they need.

You can see it running on my site - just updated www.portalparts.com to use GL 1.3.10
