I am trying to install this product on a domain under freepgs.com
but it is not working. I am just see text on the install.php

I created a file index.php and it shows in a browser.

I installed everything at the root '/' instead of creating a pubic_html directory.(it does not exist)

perhaps it is my config files. but i have reviewed the instructions repeatly.

on the config.php file these are my entries:
$_DB_host = 'freepgs.com'; // host name or IP address of your DB server

i tried localhost, results are the same.

$_DB_name = 'marbles'; // name of your database,
// must exist before running the installer!
$_DB_user = 'marble'; // MySQL user name
$_DB_pass = '******'; // MySQL password
$_CONF['path'] = '/freepgs.com/marbles/'; // should end in a slash
$_CONF['path_html'] = $_CONF['path'] . 'public_html/';

?should this just be a slash

$_CONF['site_url'] = 'http://www.freepgs.com/marbles';
----------------
lib file
require_once( '/freepgs.com/marbles/config.php' );

I have been trying to resolve this to set up for this week but it is not working.

For your safety: do not publish any passwords....

A path is not a URL, so I advise you to contact FreePGS about the correct path information. Mostly it's something like: users/home/username/config.php

"public_html" in the docs and tar file should not be taken literally as "public_html", every web server has its own directory that is where your documents (and main site php files) go.

Many are "public_html", but "www" and "htdocs" are also common.

Don't install anything from the package at root, figure out where your top-level web directory is & go from there.

I believe this is not the root of the server, but in the user directory.

/disk2/pages/username/ -- this is where I installed it.
