changing language in config.php

hi all!

feel silly for this question, but did a cursory search on the forum and didn't find anything...

i changed the language and theme in config.php like this:
Text Formatted Code

$_CONF['language'] = 'french_france';
$_CONF['theme'] = 'clean';

and restarted apache but nothing changed...

i think i just don't know how to reload the changes i've made to the config.php file, but who knows. help? thanks ^_^...

Try to delete your cookies and make sure you don´t have a different language and theme selected in your user preferences.

GL will even when logged out remember the theme and the language on the local computer.

If that doesn´t help, make sure your paths for language and theme are correct and you do have french_france.php in your language directory and the clean theme is indeed a directory under the layout tree.

In addition, changes to config.php don´t require a restart of apache.

But the cookies should do the trick, normally
