How do I remove story numbers from right of topic list?

You know, those Topical News (2/1) numbers that show how many stories there are for a specific topic?

I'd rather have them hidden.

Oh! When I put any bullets or anything in front of the topic name, it apparently disables at the very least the BOLD code.

And thanks again Dirk for your help on a previous issue.

search your geeklog config.php for:
$_CONF['showstorycount'] = 1;
and
$_CONF['showsubmissioncount'] = 1;

If you set these entries to 0 the numbers won't show up.

How do you set the bullets?

geKow,

Thanks! Have installed the latest everything and the latest phpbb2 bridge and everything works great, I am just tweaking at this point.

I accidently entered a title for a block using a div centered link so it would be a clickable title. Saved it and now the title disappeared in the BLOCK MANAGER list and there is nothing to click on to open the block back up so I can delete it. I am able to disable it, but it is still in my block manager list, except it has no name. It has a place ment number and a home reference and the enable-disable button, but where the TITLE should be there is nothing and that is the part you click on to enter the block for editing.

Weird! But gone none the less.

Anyone know how I can delete that block from some other access point?

Thanks in advance.

If you hover the mouse over the "R" or "L" icon for that block, you'll see the block's ID in the URL in your browser's status bar (e.g. bid=8192). Note that down.

Then click on the title of some other block and edit the URL, replacing that other block's ID with the one you justed wrote down.

And after you've recovered the block (just give it a new name), please submit a bug report, as this shouldn't happen ...

bye, Dirk

Thanks again Dirk!

That did it. It was not hurting anything there, but it was annoying.

All fixed! Now I can enjoy the board for awhile before I stumble over something else that needs tweaking.

You guys are great! Know your stuff!
